Single Garden Visit Service Agreement:

Booking Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed once a date and time have been agreed upon by both parties. We may contact you prior to your appointment to confirm access details or discuss any specific requirements.

Property Access: To ensure we can complete your scheduled visit efficiently, please ensure your property is safely accessible at the agreed appointment time. If we are unable to access the property due to locked gates, unsecured dogs, unavailable access, or any other circumstance outside our control, the scheduled visit may be charged in full.

Health & Safety: The safety of our team, our clients, and your property is our highest priority. Please ensure any pets are safely secured prior to our arrival and advise us of any known hazards, including unsafe trees, steep or unstable terrain, hazardous materials, or any other conditions that may affect the safe completion of our work. Good Ground has a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening, or aggressive behaviour. We reserve the right to postpone or cease work if we believe the working environment is unsafe.

Cancellations & Rescheduling: We kindly ask for a minimum of 12 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. Cancellations made with more than 12 hours' notice may be rescheduled or refunded in full. Cancellations made within 12 hours of your scheduled visit may incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Property Damage & Liability: Our team takes every reasonable precaution to care for your property while carrying out our work. However, Good Ground cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from hidden irrigation systems, underground services, or existing defects that have not been disclosed prior to commencement. We maintain appropriate Public Liability Insurance for your peace of mind and ask that clients notify us of any known risks before each visit.

Green Waste Disposal: Green waste removal is included only where specified in your quotation, package or membership. Additional disposal fees may apply for larger volumes of green waste requiring off-site disposal and will always be discussed with you before any additional charges are incurred.

Weather Conditions: As our work is completed outdoors, and we are based in Wellington, severe weather may occasionally make it unsafe to carry out scheduled services. Where necessary, your visit will be postponed and rescheduled to the next available suitable day at no additional cost.

Additional Work and Exclusions: Some specialised services fall outside the scope of a standard garden visit and will be quoted separately if required. These include, but are not limited to:

  1. -Tree removal

  2. -Tree surgery and arborist work

  3. -Stump grinding

  4. -Major retaining wall construction or repairs

  5. -Non-organic pest treatment

  6. -Landscape construction and major garden renovations

  7. -Irrigation installation and repairs

  8. -Any additional work outside your agreed original scope of booking.

If we identify work outside the agreed scope during your visit, we'll discuss it with you first and provide a separate, no-obligation quote before proceeding.

Photography: From time to time, we may take photographs of our work for quality assurance, training, and marketing purposes. We will always respect your privacy and will never intentionally publish identifying information such as house numbers, vehicle registration plates, or occupants without your permission. If you would prefer that no photographs are taken at your property, please let us know before your scheduled visit.

Water & Power: Where required, access to a standard outdoor water supply and power outlet is to be provided by the property owner. Please ensure these are available during your scheduled visit if needed to complete the agreed services.

Payment Terms: Payment is due by the due date stated on your invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur reminder notices, late payment fees, or a temporary suspension of future services until the account is brought up to date.

Plant & Garden Health Disclaimer: While Good Ground provides expert horticultural care, plant health is influenced by factors beyond our control, including weather, pests, disease, soil conditions, and existing plant health. As such, we cannot guarantee the survival or performance of individual plants.

Arrival Times: While we aim to arrive at the scheduled time, traffic, weather, and earlier jobs may occasionally cause delays. We'll always let you know if we're running significantly behind.

Site Conditions: Quotations are based on the information available at the time of booking. If the condition, size, or accessibility of the garden differs significantly upon arrival, we may discuss revised pricing with you before proceeding.

Property Security: While every reasonable care is taken when entering and exiting your property, clients remain responsible for securing gates, pets, alarms, and valuables before and after our visit.

Terms & Conditions

Membership Service Agreement:

All Members are subject to both the Membership Service Agreement and our Single Garden Visit Service Agreement.

Seasonal Care: The tasks completed during each visit will vary depending on seasonal conditions and your garden's needs. Visit time is allocated to achieve the best overall outcome for your garden rather than completing a fixed checklist.

Visit Frequency: Our visit schedule (fortnightly or monthly) will be agreed upon when your membership begins. We may recommend changes over time if your garden's needs change, with any adjustments made by mutual agreement.

Membership Inclusions: Each membership includes the services outlined within your selected package. The focus of each visit may vary throughout the year depending on seasonal conditions and the needs of your garden, ensuring the best long-term outcome for your outdoor space.

Additional Services & Exclusions: If, during a scheduled visit, we identify work outside your membership inclusions, we'll discuss it with you first and provide a separate, no-obligation quote before any additional work is carried out. If we identify work, or you request work outside the inclusions of your selected membership package will always discuss these with you and quote separately before proceeding.

Membership cancellation: Memberships have a minimum commitment of three (3) months, after which they continue on an ongoing basis until cancelled with 30 days' written notice.

Membership Pricing: Membership pricing may be reviewed annually to reflect changes in operating costs. Should any adjustments be necessary, we will provide at least 30 days' written notice before any changes take effect.

Membership Level Change: You may request to upgrade, downgrade, or adjust your membership package at any time. Changes will take effect from your next scheduled billing period unless otherwise agreed.

Pausing Your Membership: We understand life changes. Memberships may be paused for holidays or extended periods away by prior arrangement. A minimum notice period may apply, and pause requests are subject to scheduling availability.

Missed Visits: If we are unable to complete a scheduled visit due to inaccessible property, unsecured pets, or other circumstances outside our control, the visit may be treated as completed and charged accordingly. Where severe weather prevents us from working, we'll simply reschedule your visit at the next available opportunity.
