Born and raised in Auckland, my Dad’s family are from the stunning far North and my Mum’s an English Lass. One of four children, growing up in a hardworking family we were raised catholic and I studied at Marcellin College gaining Bursary Certificate, while working part-time after school at our local supermarket.
Needing a break before university I took a job and “fell” into wholesale food production in a bakery, needless to say I didn’t return to study. Baking gave me the ultimate shift work experience for my 14 year career in the New Zealand Produce Markets, including the Retail sector and Exports. I loved the prospect of providing New Zealanders and International Markets with good quality produce driven by some of the world’s best growers and marketing units. It was enriching to be a part of and I wholly engaged in and enjoyed the lively atmosphere, where I ultimately met and married my husband John. We were direct competition and he often tells people that he believed it was better to have me onside than against him! …… So he courted me and we married in 2003.
We have three children, which to date is probably the most rewarding achievement I claim, two sons Jacob and Joseph followed not so quietly by our daughter Kiani, who believed at the ripe age of almost 2 years old she owned the universe. My beautiful kids who ruined my body but sharpened my mind and senses, make me proud every chance they get. I was fortunate as a 19 year old to be able to invest in my very first property, a unit in Papatoetoe for $23k and that’s where it started for me …….. gosh if only today!
So before John and I left Auckland and our marketing positions we had the opportunity to dabble together in the housing market over that last few years. Re-igniting my passion for property, our move to be closer to family allowed me to shift gears and get into Real Estate again.
I was invited and feel very privileged to carve out my passion for property with goodGround Real Estate. The industry is evolving and the new benchmark for professionalism is set to stream line this business unlike anything New Zealand has ever seen before. Real Estate Specialists are here to provide and competently facilitate the biggest ticket item most people ever transact and being honest, sincere, hard working and full of integrity should be all inclusive! Not a draw to do business!
goodGround training is entrenched in Ethics and the Law. I am trained to negotiate on behalf of our Clients best interests, making sure they are well informed so they can make the best decisions and choices regarding their own property.
The thing I most like about me …… I’m comfortable in my skin, self confident, I have tried to learn from my not so clever choices and be a better person for that. I love my family who will always come first in my life, I can count my true friends on two hands, this to me, means I’m doing really well!
I wish you all the best in your pursuits and thanks for checking me out!
